Club Profile

Established in 1875, we are one of the oldest Crown Green Bowling Clubs in Yorkshire.  We run 3 teams in the Skipton & District League, 1 team in the Airedale & Wharfedale Saturday League and 2 teams in the Worth Valley Veterans League.

Our green is at the rear of the Wetherspoon's Devonshire Pub on Newmarket Street in Skipton. The bowling club is independent to the pub but we do enjoy an excellent relationship with them, most notably through the Wetherspoons sponsored competitions that we run during the season. In addition, we are only a stone's throw away from Skipton High Street, home of Skipton's famous market.

We offer competitive green hire rates for club trips, corporate events or tournaments. Please contact the treasurer (see details on the contacts page) for further information.
